Think Tank: First Find Your Array
Article Abstract:
Machine coding a bubble sort can be very difficult especially if it isn't the first array defined in your program. The answer to this problem is to use the GETARYPTR routine as a subroutine for holding arrays and using SAVE and RECALL commands for copying arrays to and reading them from tape. The reason is that GETARYPTR will accept a named array and return it to its start address.

A PASCAL program which inserts titles and performs paging for program listings in the manner of mainframes is listed for the Apple. Format-wise, a gap is printed at the top of the current page; the title with page count then follows. Title lines are taken from the keyboard and input and output files are opened by beginning parts of the program. The program has no error trapping.
