Thinking big
Article Abstract:
Square Kilometer Array (SKA) telescopes are giant radio telescopes that could permit the viewing of interstellar TV, though their more common usage would be to allow radio waves to be studied. These particular radio waves of interest to astronomers came from the first stars that were formed following the Big Bang. Larger telescopes can collect more radio waves. he period after the cooling that followed the Big Bang is of particular interest to some astronomers.

Mine's bigger than yours
Article Abstract:
The Japanese National Astronomical Laboratory will be launching a new telescope in Hawaii. The telescope includes the biggest mirror used in telescopes world wide, which has been made thin in order to tackle some of the problems associated with size. The telescope will be able to detect objects far enough away to have occurred during the infancy of the universe. There may also be more information on dark matter obtainable from this new telescope.
