To join the world? Switzerland
Article Abstract:
The Swiss will vote on May 17, 1992, on whether to joint the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund. Business and labor are in favor, but a curious coalition of leftists and rightists want to opt out, each for different reasons. The right cites the costs of joining, and the left bemoans the two organizations as capitalist tools at the expense of the poor.
