The UK retail market for disposable paper products had a value of 1.64 billion pounds sterling in 1993. Retail sales were led by the toilet tissue sector, generating sales of 619 million pounds sterling in 1993 and having a 38% market share. The toilet tissue market is led by Scott, with its Andrex brand having a 24% value share, followed by Kimberly-Clark Ltd. and Jamont UK. The toilet paper market is forecast to reach 628 million pounds sterling in 1995, rising to 652 million pounds sterling by 1998.
