Toys & games in France
Article Abstract:
The French market for toys and games is classified into dolls and dolls' accessories, puzzles and parlor games, electronic games, building sets, nursery toys, model and miniature vehicles and 'character' toys. The market has grown by 38% between 1990 and 1994, propelled by sales of electronic education games, fashion and baby dolls, building sets and boys' collectables. The remaining sectors either remained static or had slow growth. However, no sector declined in 1994, probably due to the relative decline in video games following its sudden spurt in the market in the late 1980s.
