Article Abstract:
The threat of another Khmer Rouge takeover looms over Cambodia asthe secessionist group refused to cooperate in the 1991 Paris peace agreement and with the UN Transitional Authority in Cambodia (UNTAC). The powerlessness of the Hun Sen administration and the weight of UN presence in the country is evident in the anarchic behavior of tourists. Also prominent are the signs of cultural disintegration as seen in the vandalized buddhas and religious landmarks.

Cuban chop suey
Article Abstract:
After the 1959 Communist Revolution in Cuba, its notorious Chinatown was closed, especially the Teatro Shanghai. Today, El Barrio Chino has been revived, without its licentious side, in order to cater to international tourists. However, little of the former Chinatown remains.
