Traveller's tales
Article Abstract:
The working styles of two disenchanted groups from Ussurisk working in Harbin, China are discussed. The first group involves eight girls who labor as waitresses and partly as dancing partners. The second group are the pedlar caravans, who are likened to wartime stevedors in terms of the hardness of their work which they accomplish most silently and rapidly. Ussurisk was also visited and its ornate Orthodox Church greatly impressed the traveller.

Traveller's tales
Article Abstract:
A train trip through North Korea is described, leaving Peking and arriving at Pyongyang on the next day. The rural landscapes resemble Spain, while the capital city is fairly clean and pleasant in appearance. Tourism is stifled by political propaganda such as museum visits, yet the country is fascinating to visit because it is the last bastion of communist enthusiasm.
