Michael Wilkey, a U.K. architect who was an expert witness in a "copying" scandal involving architect Gareth Pearce, was found not to have engaged in misconduct by a judge. Wilkey used the case "Designers Guild v. Russsell Williams, 2001" in his defense. Wilkey received some criticism from the judge, but all accusations of professional incompetence and misconduct were dropped.

A victory for the taxpayer and a blow for HMRC
Article Abstract:
The decision on 15 December 2005 in the case of Jones v. Garnett was a victory for the taxpayer and a blow for HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC). For taxpayers who self-assessed on the basis that the case would be overturned, no action is needed on their returns.

A Glasgow-based architectural technologist faces five charges of fraud for allegedly forging planning permissions. The allegations have caused a crisis in local councils, which have reviewed all building works from the 1990s.
