Trickle of overseas investment sparks hopes for a flood; many believe growing contributions from Indians abroad will bolster nation's economy
Article Abstract:
Growing investments of overseas nationals are seen to become a crucial factor in the economic progress of India. While direct investments have remained at modest levels since the country's economic liberalization in 1991, these continue to grow and are projected to increase further. Investments from the Indian diaspora are not seen to equal the role played by investments of overseas Chinese in their country's economic revitalization, owing to a much lower number of Indians abroad and their lack of entrepreneurship.

Foreign high-tech firms are going wild over Borneo
Article Abstract:
Borneo could soon become a new center for high-tech industries in view of the growing number of companies setting up operations on the island. Traditional high-tech centers such as Singapore and Penang, Malaysia, are rapidly filling up and Borneo is becoming the top choice among foreign companies looking for an alternative location. The island's appeal lies in its highly-skilled, English-speaking workforce as well as incentives provided by the Borneo state government.
