Machine scheduling with a rate-modifying activity
Article Abstract:
Research is presented concerning the difficulties encountered when rate-modifying activities and job scheduling occur on single machine electronic assembly lines. Polynomial algorithms which can solve these difficulties are discussed.

Two-machine scheduling: compromise between flexibility and makespan value
Article Abstract:
The details of the study conducted on the dual models to minimize the makespan of a schedule and to minimize the number of groups in the class of schedules by using an approach, which provides the decision maker with more choice of assigning jobs at various decision points is presented.
