UK: FIDELITY CLAIMS TO BE LARGEST PLATFORM
Article Abstract:
Fidelity claims its fund supermarket Fundsnetwork is the UK's largest platform with around 500 funds listed. Customers have wider choice and the approximately 2,500 IFAs signed up to the service can be more informed while creating investment plans, says a company official. Some 26 more funds are available on the fund supermarket following the addition of fund managers Govett, Rothschild and BWD Rensburg. Six more supermarkets are due to be introduced in 2001, with four accepting only direct business. The move is welcomed by Fidelity as it increases competition.
