Scottish Life links with IFA network in Net site project
Article Abstract:
Plans to establish a new Internet site that will provide advice to insurance providers and IFAs are being worked on by Bankhall, the IFA network, and Scottish Life. The site provides information on different products, plus an inquiry services and is at present being tested on a limited basis. It should be officially launched by the end of 1998 and is aimed at improving quality and efficiency in the provision of financial products.

UK: Life industry lags behind on assessing risk
Article Abstract:
The British life sector is years behind the rest of the financial industry in its risk assessment practices, according to Heman Shah, president and co-founder of US-based Risk Management Solutions. Speaking at a conference about the need for the UK industry to adopt a risk-based approach to managing capital, Shah said that UK firms must achieve more transparency if they are to retain consumer confidence.
