Article Abstract:
The US Army's Armament Research Development and Engineering Center awarded a series of contracts to several companies totaling $10,797,000 for the evaluation of concepts related to Track III of its Antipersonnel Landmine Alternatives (APLA) project. Sponsored by the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, the APLA program covers development of a Self-Healing Minefield (SHM) for employment in maneuver denial. The SHM employs a network of intercommunicating surface-scattered AT mines.

US system will reduce time spent on joint mission planning
Article Abstract:
Logicon Advanced Technology has received a contract from the US Naval Air Systems Command that is aimed at reducing the time spent on a typical joint mission planning. The 30-month contract worth $53 million entails the modification of the systems used by the US Navy's Tactical Aircraft Mission Planning System, the Special Operations Forces Planning and Rehearsal System and the US Air Force Mission Support System.
