Ultimate telly
Article Abstract:
Video-on-demand is to be launched in Europe by Video Networks which is benefiting from a technological breakthrough allowing more content to be delivered to households through the telephone network. Previous attempts to develop video-on-demand met with cost and other problems and were then thwarted by the development of digital TV. Video-rental outlets could be affected by the launch of Video Networks' service, since the picture quality of the new service should be better, and it sould be more convenient.
