Understanding science: as science grows, must ignorance of it?
Article Abstract:
The annual meeting of the American Assoc for the Advancement of Science is often used to raise the awareness of science and its importance to society. However, it can be argued that most people cannot and should not keep abreast of all scientific developments. Knowledge of scientific methods is adequate.

Global warming is a complicated phenomenon to research. Some of the elements created by aerosols damage the atmosphere, while sulfates from the sprays protect us from the sun's harmful rays. This dilemma was a topic for discussion at the annual meeting of the Association for the Advancement of Science.
