Unilever's net rise shows resilience
Article Abstract:
Unilever Group, a Dutch-Anglo consumer-products group, was hailed for its capability to adapt to conditions in emerging markets worldwide, which is reflected in its period-on-period net-earnings growth of 33% to $1.19 billion during the third quarter of 1998. The development also exhibited Unilever Group's capacity to better position itself amidst the economic recession being suffered by different countries worldwide. The development also led a market analyst to conclude that the company is virtually unaffected by market recession.
