United by rugby?
Article Abstract:
The French soccer team is ethnically mixed, but this sis less true of the rugby football team, which has only three men of color. Rugby is a sport that is identified with rural areas of south western France, though this may be changing. Soccer is more of a reflection of social aspects of France and is popular in ethnically mixed areas of city suburbs. National pride will be helped by a rugby win, but social peace can be better achieved through soccer.
