Requirements for effective participation in self-constructed organizations
Article Abstract:
Organizations can impose constraints that are counter productive. These constraints can detract from our pleasure in our work and from the efficiency of the organization. The space provided for developing knowledge in organizations is important. We need to become more aware of the impact of our actions and those of other people, and to realise the extent of our autonomy. A balance has to be achieved between excessive levels of intervention and excessive levels of detachment.

European leadership: Key issues
Article Abstract:
European management issues are similar in nature to American ones, and the fact that they are not resolved in the same manner suggests that European leaders do not operate in the same way as American managers. Studies show that management styles vary enormously throughout Europe because of the diverse cultures which exist. No one management theory can be applied to the whole of Europe's national values.
