Variety in uniform
Article Abstract:
Architectural firm Studio BAAD has been responsible for constructing an extension for uniform manufacturer Simon Jersey's plant in Accrington, England. The extension had to be aligned with the visual language of the original building, and the design incorporates a range of places of different character connected within three or four large volumes. The location of the plant on an out-of-town business park gave Studio BAAD considerable freedom, as it was not necessary to take account of surrounding urban fabric.
