Veba, Viag are in talks on a merger
Article Abstract:
Veba AG and Viag AG are engaged in negotiations over a possible merger. Such a merger could have a value of up to approximately $15 billion (14.26 billion euros). However, the negotiations could collapse at any phase. Veba and Viag are utility concerns based in Germany. The possible merger reflects the trend toward consolidation that is taking place in the European region.
