Venture funding in Europe is highest since 2002

Venture capital companies are increasing investment in the European Union. Last year investment peaked at 4.12 billion Euros ($5.34 billion) with the average deal valued at 2.2 million Euros. Investment in new business increased to 40 percent in 2006.
