Walters & Cohen/ Bedales School: Building study
Article Abstract:
The architectural plan for the building which houses a teaching and administrative block in Bedales School is presented. Some notable features of the plan are the placement of the main classrooms on the north side of the building to allow constant, comfortable north light, a highly glazed, bright, airy space on the south and the design of the outer timber structure to use simple shear plate connectors between rafter and column.
