We're clean
Article Abstract:
Mexican officials claim that the Jul 6, 1997 elections would be a clean one. These claims come from known representatives of a political party that is more likely to try to maintain power by any possible means. The Federal Electoral Institute may or may not spell a cleaner election for the country and the ruling political party's weakening may give it more reason to cheat. Whatever the results, the existing rules in Mexican politics may come up with questionable election returns even if there is no fraud.
