The latest trend in employment recruitment is from the so-called "hard skills" that are acquired from academic degrees to the "soft skills" that require the abilities to work with, lead and motivate employees and groups of employees. Many firms now realize the importance of soft skills and would prefer applicants with these skills over MBA graduates who have no people skills. The humanistic personnel management approach is especially relevant to the marketing industry
