Why queuing never vanishes
Article Abstract:
The queuing theory was extensively applied in generating efficient solutions to real life problems in telecommunications and industrial production management. The queuing theory was formed as a consequence of customer and system perspectives involving shorter delivery times and increased production output in response to greater demand. Queuing networks were also developed for production or manufacturing systems and computer networking for the efficient handling and retrieval of relevant data.

An approximate solution and error bound for a discrete time queue with simultaneous servicing
Article Abstract:
An approximate recursive solution for a discrete time queue, which takes into account simultaneous service completions per time slot, is derived based on a truncation of the state space. An a priori analytic error bound for the accuracy of this approximation, which is explicit and of order p(super L), where p is the traffic load and L is the truncation size, is computed.
