Work in progress
Article Abstract:
The US economy has been affected by a number of changes, but their significance is not clear. Inflation and unemployment have fallen and productivity and economic growth have strengthened, and this has been helped by developments in computer technology. Manufacturing productivity has shown poor growth, however, excluding computers. Investment has increased capapcity and this has helped to reduce inflation rates. Productivity growth has to spread to areas outside the computer industry for economic growth to be sustained.
