313-Ship fleet may be unaffordable: Cheaper options possible
Article Abstract:
The target of the naval chief of attaining a ship fleet of 313 remains uncertain, as the Congress believes that it would be beyond their budget to fund such a huge amount and cheaper options of shipbuilding were possible. An option of obtaining cheaper vessels or modifying the fleet with latest technologies so as to curtail new ship building cost as well as to obtain better versions of vessels under production is suggested to the navy.
