A model for the evaluation of and response to economic exposure risk by multinational companies
Article Abstract:
Amodel is developed to measure the risks from economic exposure a multinational corporation undertakes in relation to the interdependence of its affiliates. The model measures the interdependence of a global financial network as influenced by currency changes. Emphasis is placed on goals rather than on specific elements of the economic exposure itself. Although the model is presents a simplified version of actual problems encountered, it provides a strong starting point from which an appropriate plan of action may be derived.

A comparison of the effectiveness of currency futures and currency options in the context of foreign exchange risk management
Article Abstract:
Currency futures or options may be used to reduce exchange rate risk although the former is generally recommended as hedge for covered positions while the latter, for uncovered positions. However, both instruments show comparable effectiveness with uncovered positions without loss of hedging effectiveness.
