Influence of forest machine function on operator exposure to whole-body vibration in a cut-to-length timber harvester
Article Abstract:
The influence of machine function on the levels of WBV (whole body vibration) transmitted to the operator, performed by a cut-to-length (CTL) harvester is investigated in relation to agricultural operations. The results show that the level of vibration transmitted to the operator during felling and processing was mainly affected by the tree size.

Predictors of whole-body vibration exposure experienced by highway transport truck operators
Article Abstract:
Truck characteristics were studied to determine which ones revealed the levels of whole-body-vibration (WBV) exposure that truck operators experienced. The investigation was also meant to see if WBV exposure levels exceeded the 1997 International Standards Organization (ISO) 2631 - 1WBV guidelines.

A new framework for evaluating potential risk of back disorders due to whole body vibration and repeated mechanical shock
Article Abstract:
A review of studies that evaluate the effects of mechanical shock is presented. The necessity for both steady state and mechanical shock components to be evaluated is emphasized and a framework is proposed for assessing the health effects of exposure to occupational vibration.
