Williams International Company, Walles Lake, Mich., is being awarded a $10,999,966 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract to provide for research and development support for the Joint Expendable Turbine Engine Concepts (JETEC) III program. This program will seek to demonstrate advanced gas turbine engine technology that will reduce fuel consumption and production costs. This was a Program Research and Development Announcement, and there were 3 proposals received. Expected contract completion date is March 24, 2003. Solicitation issue date was Aug. 25, 1997. This effort will attempt to develop methodologies to mitigate the impact of fatigue in aircraft engines. Expected contract completion date is June 30, 2002. Solicitation issue date was Oct. 1, 1997.
