Article Abstract:
Northrop Grumman Corp., Melbourne, Fla., is being awarded a $15,454,392 cost-plus-incentive-fee contract to provide for the pre-Engineering and Manufacturing Development phase of the Radar Technology Insertion Program to upgrade the radar of the Joint Surveillance Target Attack Radar System (JSTARS). the work will be performed in Melbourne, Fla. (50%); Baltimore, Md. (25%) and at Raytheon Co., El Segundo, Calif. (25%). Solicitation began April 1998; negotiations were completed December 1998. There was one firm solicited and one proposal received. The work is expected to be completed in Nov. 1999. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Electronic Systems Command, Hanscom AFB, Mass., is the contracting activity (F19628-99/C-0011).
