The job market for systems biology, which was earlier restricted to the United States, is on the verge of growth in Europe and Japan due to the development of new institutes, increased funding and the large number of positions available for experimentalists and theoreticians. A systems biologist should be an expert in mathematics as well as biology and should have good communication skills.
