Analyst: Japan wants to create expanded military
Article Abstract:
Japan wants to expand its military so that it can play an active role in Asian and world affairs. Japan's prime minister wants to demonstrate that his nation is ready to take a stronger role in the region and hence he would include a restructuring of the Japanese constitution that would eliminate Article 9 of that charter, to create armed forces that are truly a military and not hidden as a self-defense force.
