Article Abstract:
Primex Technologies Inc., St. Petersburg, Fla., is being awarded $100,610,754 as part of a $371,575,758 firm-fixed-price multi-year contract for 120 mm, M831A1 TP-T 120 mm cartridge and the M865 TPCSDS-T 120 mm cartridge, for the countries of Saudi Arabia and Kuwait. The M831A1 is the high explosive training round and the M865 is the kinetic energy training round, with both rounds having inert projectiles used for live fire training for M1A1/M1A2 tanks. Work will be performed at the Army Ammunition Plant, Middletown, Iowa, and is expected to be completed by Oct. 31, 2004. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were two bids solicited on Sept. 1, 1998, and two bids were received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Armament, Munitions & Chemical Command, Rock Island, Ill. (DAAA09-99-C-0021).

Raytheon Company, Bedford, Mass., is being awarded a $6,370,000 firm-fixed-price contract for the acquisition that will provide the Foreign Military Sales (FMS) spares of various nomenclatures, National Stock Number (NSN) and Army Part Number (APNs) to support the Patriot Missile Systems deployed by the governments of Israel, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, and Taiwan. Work will be performed in Bedford, Mass., and is expected to be completed by Dec. 30, 2000. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on Aug. 13, 1998. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command, Redstone Arsenal, Ala., (DAAH01-99-C-0016)
