Valenzuela Engineering, Incorporated, Santa Maria, Calif., is being awarded a $7,242,000 firm-fixed-price contract for weapons facility improvements which include new construction of one earth-covered concrete magazine, five pre-engineered metal buildings, renovation of existing buildings and magazines, and all incidental related work at the Naval Air Station, Lemoore, Calif. Work will be performed in Lemoore, Calif., and is expected to be completed in April 2000. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The contract was competitively procured with 66 proposals solicited and two offers received. Atlantic Dry Dock Corp., Jacksonville, Fla., is being awarded a $8,138,704 fixed-price contract to establish dry-docking facilities capable of dry-docking CG, DD, DDG, and FFG class vessels in the Jacksonville, Fla., area. The contract also provides for scheduled and emergency dry-dock related repairs and alterations to these vessels.
