Article Abstract:
CAS Inc.*, Huntsville, Ala., is being awarded a $2,365,560 increment as part of a $4,899,275 (base year total) contract with a cumulative total of $22,130,996 if all options are exercised. The contractor will support the Missile Defense Data Center Program for the Sensor Analysis Division, Sensors Directorate, U.S. Army Space & Missile Defense Command, and will operate, maintain and modernize the Missile Defense Data Center information system to serve missile defense acquisition and technology programs' data management needs. Work will be performed in Huntsville, Ala., and is expected to be completed by Jan. 30, 1999. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There was an announcement in the Commerce Business Daily on Nov. 30, 1998, and eight bids were received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Space & Missile Defense Command, Huntsville, Ala. Freightliner Corp., Portland, Ore., is being awarded a $36,795,517 modification to a firm-fixed-price contract for 291 truck tractors (M915A3). Work will be performed in Portland, Ore., and is expected to be completed by Nov. 30, 2000. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on April 12, 1995. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Tank-Automotive & Armaments Command, Warren, Mich. (DAAE07-96-C-X076).
