Article Abstract:
Alexander Brodsky, a Russian avant-gardist, known for installation art like his 1999 "Grey Matters" exhibition and his paper architecture, builds poetic structures that offer some relief to a Russian landscape intruded by development. His studio has turned out innovative restaurants, clubs, country houses and residential interiors and his latest project is converting a 19th-century wine-bottling plant in Moscow into a multidisciplinary arts center.
