Bank behavior based on internal credit ratings of borrowers
Article Abstract:
More uncertain borrowers pay more exorbitant loan rate premiums and depend more on bank funding. Housebanks receive a greater amount of collateral and offer more finance. Loan rate premiums, produced by money illusion in periods of exorbitant market interest, are relatively insignificant as opposed to periods of low market interest rates, which are relatively high. There was no proof to support a suitable adjustment of loan terms to rating fluctuations.
