Biden hits Bush on Iraq, urges recruiting nations
Article Abstract:
Sen. Joseph Biden has voiced the opinion that drawing U.S. allies and Arab countries into the Iraq reconstruction effort would ease the burden on the United States and convince the Iraqi people on the reasons for the American presence. Though the failure to give a realistic picture to the American people of the challenges in terms of cost and manpower has resulted in an expectation clash, he suggested that this could be resolved by leveling with the American public on the true costs of the conflict and enlisting international help.

Success in Iraq will take time: Rumsfeld
Article Abstract:
Defense secretary Donald Rumseld expressed confidence that democratic systems would emerge in Iraq but very slowly. Some of the points through which Rumsfeld define success, are the return home of the US troops, an in- place Iraqi domestic security force, an Iraqi nation that doesn't threaten its neighbors, a religiously tolerant Iraq, and an Iraqi state that offers a 'powerful example' to its neighbors in the region.
