The aftermath of Sarbanes-Oxley and other regulatory requirements has increased the demand for assurance services, which is creating a boom in accounting work for accountancy firms across the globe. It is observed that international accountancy networks show a strong increase in fees earned from audit and assurance work, particularly among the larger firms.
