Brass: Army future can't rest on Stryker alone
Article Abstract:
The top brass of the US Army are of the view that although the new Stryker family of vehicles has brought the army new technologies and new capabilities, the service can't rely on it alone for the future. They said that that the army cannot do without Future Combat Systems, which would consist of cutting-edge manned and unmanned air and ground vehicles, sensors, and other components, all linked via an advanced network.

Official: Stryker good, but needs improvement
Article Abstract:
The Stryker, which is demonstrating survivability, mobility and lethality in combat in Iraq, requires few improvements. The key areas which require improvements are the remote weapons station stabilization, weapon systems, air conditioning to cool the inside of the Stryker to 80 degrees Fahrenheit and the power capacity of the vehicle to accommodate more functions.

Army finds Stryker shines in Iraq combat zone
Article Abstract:
The United States Army is very happy with the performance and tough armour of the Stryker vehicles in Iraq. The Strykers have taken a number of improvised explosive device (IED) and rock-propelled grenade (RPG) hits, but no IED has managed to penetrate the Stryker's hull.
