Middle Eastern forces lack modern technology
Article Abstract:
Middle Eastern nations are not buying sufficient modern military weapons and systems and the ones that they have are largely ineffective. A review in the weapon systems in the region reveals that in the last many years, the gap in military strength is growing in favor of the US allies and most Middle Eastern nations, including the US allies, face outside challenges to military modernization, particularly poor educational systems.

Raytheon announces successful Excalibur test
Article Abstract:
The contractor team behind the Excalibur GPS-guided artillery system announced a first-of-its-kind successful firing of a global positioning satellite-guided 155mm artillery shell, which guided the munition to a target aim point 20 kilometers (12.43 miles) downrange. This Excalibur is a cooperative effort between the United States and Sweden.
