British Airways ready to take off in Spain
Article Abstract:
British Airways (BA) is negotiating a price for a stake in Iberia. The Spanish government is thought to value Iberia at 2 billion pounds sterling, while BA is believed to have made a valuation of 400 million pounds less. This would mean that BA would have to pay an additional 60 million pounds for the stake if the Spanish government's figure is used. BA would have to acquire a stake of 5% in Iberia if it is seeking an alliance with the airline, according to the Spanish government.
