UMECO is an engineering firms which distributes aerospace parts and which has appointed Brian McGowan as chairman and Clive Snowdon as chief executive. The GRP acquisition was organized by the retiring boss, George Metcalf, and will cost 9.2 million pounds sterling to be funded by a share issue. The company is likely to seek further acquisitions which could include Ling Dynamic Systems.
