Bush, Blair say attacks won't drive forces from Iraq
Article Abstract:
President George Bush and Prime Minister Tony Blair have stated that the bombings and attacks on the U.S. military and civilian contractor personnel will not deter the troops and the U.S. presence will be strongly felt until Iraq is transformed into a stable democracy. Britain, America and its allies intend to stand by the 30th of June deadline to hand over sovereignty to the Iraqis and put in efforts to build the capabilities for security and law and order while the U.N. plays a central role in the political transformation to democracy.
