CH-47F helicopter has uncorrected problems
Article Abstract:
A Pentagon document revealed in March 2006 that the US Army CH-47F Chinook helicopter are operationally effective but requires corrections to make the aircraft operationally suitable. A modified version of the CH-47, called the HH-47, is one of three aircraft competing for an Air Force contract that would be awarded soon, for the Combat Search and Rescue (CSAR-X) platform.

Boeing chief: Tanker deal 'not dead'
Article Abstract:
Boeing's chief executive reported that a controversial plan to supply aerial refueling tankers to the Air Force is still on life support, and unlikely to be revived. Boeing received heartening news after the National Defense University (BDU), one of four government bodies charged with studying the KC-767 deal, concluded that replacing the tanker fleet was urgent.
