Clearly Canadian Beverage Corp has launched a new dry, sparkling, lemon- ginger drink called Tre Limone in the North American market. Lemon juice, natural flavors and a blend of ginger and spices are used in the concoction, which combines the mystique of the Orient with the appeal of European cafe sodas. In-store merchandising displays and point-of-sale ads are designed to create an upscale, but playful and humorous image of the brand. The company aims to use Tre Limone to establish a new premium niche in the $8.6-billion alternative beverage market.

Vans launches "Tones"

Vans Inc has introduced a line of women's footwear featuring a new leather technology called 'Tones.' Indoors, the new Compel Tones appears to be a plain white skate shoe with colored detailing. Once expose to ultraviolet rays, however, the entire shoe turns the color of its details. When returned to an indoor setting, the shoe reverts back to white. The launch of Tones is supported by a print campaign and a point-of-purchase program.
