Comparison of prediction models for the compression force on the lumbosacral disc
Article Abstract:
Comparison of three prediction models of compressive forces of lumbosacral disc show that the EMG-assisted model accurately reflects all three parameters of asymmetric lifting on the L5/S1 compressive forces. The compressive forces from the two LP-based models are significantly influenced by weight of the load only. High L5/S1 compressive forces result in low lifting index values in EMG-assisted model.

Comparison of perceived comforts differences between standard and experimental load carriage systems
Article Abstract:
A study was conducted to understand the reason for prevalence of postural abnormalities and pain among the students due to the backpack-type load carriage systems (LCS), A comparison is made between the perceptual comfort in standard and vertically loaded LCSs.

Quantitative postural load assessment for whole body manual tasks based on perceived discomfort
Article Abstract:
A postural load assessment system is developed based on a macro-postural load classification scheme. The classification scheme is constructed based on perceived discomfort for various joint motions and previous research outcomes.
