Cons Are Pros at Inbound Telemarketing
Article Abstract:
The National Switchboard (TNS) is a direct-response telemarketing center which recognizes that one of the major problems within the industry is the turnover of employees. In a joint venture with the Arizona Department of Corrections, the company developed a plan to have inmates at minimum-security prisons fill the gap. After careful selection, training was provided. Twenty inmates are currently employed in the program. Full-time job opportunities exist after people leave the prison system. Salaries are earned, and some portion of the earnings are set aside for help in resettling after prison terms.

Telemarketing Implementation: A Matter of Marketing Strategy
Article Abstract:
Telemarketing involves much more than most executives realize; further, its contribution to a company is often larger than most realize. Managers need to take the time to analyze the current customer base and see how more sales can be generated from these as a result of telemarketing. Telemarketing can be used not only to reduce costs, but to maintain market share and expand customer contact. If telemarketing is to be done properly, and if it is to be integrated into other marketing strategies, a specific strategy needs to be developed for implementation and integration.
