Continental Europe offers growing room
Article Abstract:
Management buy-outs are common in the UK, but the market in mainland Europe is less developed. The strongest growth of large deals in 1995 occurred in France, where disposals are considered due to low economic growth and high levelsof unemployment. The market in Germany is less well developed. Exit is not as easy to carry out through flotations in mainland Europe. Institutional support is needed for markets to develop, Eastern Europe has a great deal of potential which has yet to be exploited.
